About Me

My name is Jennifer Hansen and I’ve been teaching piano for 11 years. I absolutely love teaching music and especially piano! I grew up in Canada and began taking piano lessons at the age of 7. As a teenager I participated in several competitions and had many opportunities to perform. I also studied cello and participated in numerous choirs. After high school I had the amazing opportunity to study piano performance with Dr. Richard Anderson at Brigham Young University. I majored in music, and I have a special love for music education. Now I am a stay at home mom with two young daughters and I serve as the children’s primary music chorister at my church. I’ve taught piano to students from ages 5 to 65 and I love it! My favorite composer is Chopin, but both Bach and Beethoven are a close second and third!

Registration is now open for piano lessons beginning Fall 2011.

Thursdays 6:00, 6:30

• I am currently accepting students ages 6 and older. I love teaching children, but I also love teaching adults!

• Private piano lessons are taught in my home, once a week, for 30 minutes.

• The rate is $10.00 per lesson, which can be paid by cash or check, either monthly or weekly.

• Books are purchased separately at an average cost between $15.00 - 30.00 every year.

• Parents may attend the lessons or choose to simply drop their child off. (I actually prefer just myself and the student, but I understand if the parent wants or needs to attend.)
